There I was sprinting into the the zoo classroom. Ahhh I the thought as I saw the stuffed animals.I see zookeeper silently standing like a tiger pouncing on it's prey."Welcome to the zoo classroom"boasted the exhilarating zookeeper.We all ferociously speed to get a good spot on the mat.A zookeeper came in with a box and something was in it.Out pops a turatara head looking for food.We race out of the zoo classroom.Once we had finished looking at the birds we went and feed the towering giraffes.Once we had finished feeding the giraffes we went to have some morning tea.When we finished our morning tea we went to feed the siamang monkeys.The siamangs poked their claws through the little holes in the cage and grabbed the food."Time for some lunch" shouted Mrs Hobbs.We all exhilarate back and have lunch and set back of on our adventure."Home time"boasted Mrs Hobbs.We all hop back in the cars and go back to school.

ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE

we're not thinking about are wild animals.we're destroying their habitats not thinking about them and thinking about the money there going to make.we're thinking about us not the wild life out there.I'm going to show a video about how whales change climate.

   Tapa Turtles

This term with miss gibson white we have been learning about tapa cloth and turtles.

I learned

I enjoyed it because it was a new experience.

I didn't enjoy it because it was a challenge.

It was fun because I did it with my friends.

How to make tapa turtles.

First we had to get a turtle and then we had we had to draw designs onto them after we drawed the designs on we had to glue them into our books.

How to make tapa cloth.

First we had to scrunch up a piece of A3 paper until it was soft after we scrunched up the A3 paper we had to dye it a light brown color and then we let them dry.

Miss gibson white gave us tasks to do on each desk and a few windows.We had to get into a group of 2 TO 3 people and we learnt a lot.Here is a picture of me and my group.

This week i saw Bonny- Mae using integrity to get her work done on time and including her younger friends in her games and trying her hardest in everything.She is striding for greater goals achievements.She is listen and being silent when the teacher asks.she is working towards getting 100% in everything.

Go!shouts Mrs Hobbs as do a amazing dive into the freezing pool.   My mind goes blank.I feel a shiver up my spin.I hear big splash's around my as I swim."I am freezing"I whisper to myself.I swim as fast as a turtle.I walk the last part because it is to shallow.I leap out of the pool like a kangaroo.I sprint back to the deep end.I get in a team of four and we do relay's in our team's.Splash as the team captain's race off.I was a team captain.I was excited to be a team captain.I race to get a ping pong ball.I go for the balls near the end of the pool.

 I have two cats and their names are Jake and Stripes. They are twin brothers and they are cheeky and mischievous. They are tabby short haired domestic cats and we got them from reptiles pet store in 
Te Awamutu.  I have a little brother he is seven years old, his name is Daniel and he also goes to Pirongia school too. I like to play rugby and I am really sporty and athletic.

Term 1 Inquiry

For our term one inquiry, Mr Matthews taught us a number of different soccer skills games. We then got into teams and chose one that we wanted to innovate to improve it. After we recorded our new rules we got to teach the rest of the class our new game. It was great fun!

Raglan

  
Tawa Team had a wonderful day trip to Raglan beach. Russell and his group completed the beach relay and had a lot of fun. He used the key competency of Participating and Contributing by accepting responsibility as an individual and as a group member. He also demonstrated the competency of Relating to Others when he worked cooperatively with his group and was considerate of their thoughts and feelings.

Water, grass, trees, logs, twigs, bark, hollowed log,

What features did I add just for my animal and how are they helpful? A bigger enclosure and a tunnel.

Did I make any changes and why did I decide to do that?

Yes, made it bigger to make it a good home.

Leopards

A leopard is a mammal and its Latin name is panthera pardus. It is a part of the big cat family and they are warm blooded.

Description

Leopards are yellow and have black spots. Some leopards are black. Leopards have a white patch under their tummy.

Dynamics

Leopards can run up to 58km/h. Leopards bring their prey into a tree to keep it away from the other animals. Leopards are good climbers.

Habitat

Leopards live in North-east Africa, Central Asia, India and China. They live in rainforests, forests, mountains and savannas.

Diet

Leopards are carnivores. They mainly eat monkeys, nile crocodiles, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, foxes, fish, jackals, martens, chimpanzees, gorillas, insects and birds.

Leopards from Africa aren’t endangered but the ones outside of Africa are endangered. People need to leave them alone and only kill them if they are attacking people.
